The SGD-45-2005 Graded Density Sediment Filter is an excellent solution as a pre- and postfilter all in one. These cartridges eliminate the need for step-down filtration systems in homes or businesses. The outer layer is a 50 micron prefiltration layer, taking out larger sediment, which then reduces the contaminants for the inner 5 micron layer. SGD-45-2005 Graded Density Sediment Filter is made of spun bonded polypropylene reducing extra-fine dirt, sand, sediment, silt, rust, and scale particles. These cartridges offer three times the dirt-holding capacity of similar-sized sediment cartridges. Fits American Plumber, Aqua-Pure, Culligan, Pentek, Ametek, and other 20″ Big Blue housings.
